Well, it's now October and our dedicated group of embroiders and quilters have put together another great community project. This year we have made quilts for distribution to wheelchair users in Queensland. They are smaller, so that they can be used on the wheelchair without fouling the running gear. We have made twenty two to date. Here are some pictures of our latest batch. Our multi-talented group is Carolyn, Rosslyn, Hazel, Kay, Trudi, Diane, Gloria, Denise and Elke. Many thanks for their devotion, embroidey and quilting skills which made these projects possible.
Joy, one of our Gumnut Embroiderers, sent me this image of her beautiful Blue Symphony quilt. An exciting update for Joy and her Blue Symphony Quilt. Joy won First Prize for the Blue Symphony Quilt at this year's Redlands Quilt Extrvaganza. Congratulations!!
Joy has also sent in a pictue of her grand daughter,Teresa and son Ethan, displaying a quilt made for Teresa's friend Amanda. The set used was Mrs Wormy. It's a great quilt Teresa!
